Being from Cecil County, Heather has seen the severity of the substance use epidemic firsthand. Heather’s passion for service work, incredible selflessness, and ability to connect with people has made her a vital part of the All Paths team. Heather has built multiple positive relationships with local organizations who are vital for All Paths services, like our Outreach Program in North East, MD. We are honored to have her as a member of the All Paths Board of Directors.
I was born and raised in Cecil County, but a lot of my story is not here. I started my addiction early, and it led me to prison for many years. I found recovery while in prison, and joined a 12 step fellowship. When I finally came back to Cecil County, I put everything into my recovery and started working in the field as a Peer. What I saw was a lot of people who felt unwelcome, and found stigma even within the recovery community. I founded All Paths Inc. with Steve and started offering judgment free support meetings in Elkton in 2022. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would be my life today, but not I can’t imagine it any other way.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, I am a co-founder of All Paths and President of the Board of Directors. I am a Registered Peer Supervisor and certified Peer Recovery Specialist at Voices of Hope. I recently celebrated 9 years in recovery. I was previously on MAT, but with the help of medical cannabis, I was able to stop using Methadone. I am a huge advocate for plant based recovery and alternative pathways and I have found purpose in helping others find the pathway that best works for them. All Paths has become so much more than a meeting, it is a family.
Even though I am not originally from Cecil County, I have found my home here. I was born and raised in Ocean City, MD and I followed the party lifestyle until it took over my life. After losing my daughter to CPS in 2020, I decided I would give recovery a try, and went to treatment in Western Maryland. My recovery journey took me to Cecil County, where I found a recovery community unlike anything I had ever experienced. I started working in recovery and became a certified Peer Recovery Specialist. I decided to join the All Paths Board of Directors as Secretary because of my administrative background. I am grateful for the family I have built in All Paths and I cannot wait to see what amazing things this recovery community will do!
I’m Mark, a person in long term recovery that practices abstinence based recovery but MAT is a part of my story and I support all pathways of recovery. I fell in love with All Paths because it is a fellowship where everyone is welcome regardless of how they choose to recover. I started getting involved with All Paths meetings, and after finding my passion, I helped start the first All Paths Sober Living House, and now we are operating 4 houses in 2 counties. Helping others find their path in recovery has become the foundation of my own pathway to freedom.
After losing my arm to necrotizing fascitis from IV Fentanyl/Xylazine drug use in September 2020, I started my recovery journey. I joined Tiktok and became a part of an extremely supportive Harm Reduction community and my online family really opened my eyes. I believe Harm Reduction is the only way to tackle the epidemic we are currently facing. In 2023 I was invited to my first All Paths meeting, and I fell in love with the mission! I was so excited when we started the Outreach Program last year, because that is what I’m so passionate about. Making people feel safe, loved, and worthy in a non-judgmental setting will always be my goal.
We are always looking for passionate people to join our organization. Board Member positions are available! To find out more information, complete the contact form below and someone will reach out to you.
